Other Passenger Carriers

The Commission may consider transportation for hire that is not within the scope of existing service classifications.  Applications for potentially new service classifications will be considered in the same manner as all other applications for common or contract carrier authority.

Low-Speed Vehicles

Low speed vehicles, including tuk-tuks, are defined by Nebraska statute and must comply with all rules related to the use of such vehicles on Nebraska roads.  Transportation of passengers for hire using tuk-tuk vehicles may be provided on a prearranged or on-demand basis, and the carrier must hold minimum liability insurance of not less than $500,000.
