State 911

Formed in 2016, the State 911 Department provides administrative support to Nebraska's Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and communications providers. The State 911 Department is currently coordinating the implementation of a Statewide Next Generation 911 System (NG911). Next Generation 911 will provide redundancy and resiliency to a statewide system, dramatically improving call routing and location accuracy providing for the free flow of multi-media information for citizens in need of emergency services.
