PSC Seeks to Fill Vacancies on NUSF Advisory Board

Lincoln, April 6, 2018- Interested Nebraskans have until April 19 to apply for appointment to the Nebraska Public Service Commission (PSC) Nebraska Universal Service Fund Advisory Board (NUSF).

Four positions are currently vacant. One position is open to represent telecom carriers. Openings also exist for a member to represent rural health care (1) and the public (2). Those appointed to the nine-member advisory board may serve two consecutive three-year terms.

“We are looking for industry representatives and citizens who have an interest in our state’s telecommunications infrastructure,” said Cullen Robbins, Director of Communications/NUSF Department. “Board members play a key role in advising the Commission on the administration of programs that help to ensure quality, affordable, telecommunication and information services for all Nebraskans.”

Advisory board member serve without pay or reimbursement for expenses. The Board generally meet no more than twice annually. The Board advises the Commission on the administration of the Universal Service Fund.
