      Commissioner Stocker Appointed to
         NARUC Natural Gas Committee

LINCOLN – Nebraska Public Service Commission (PSC) Vice
Chair Kevin Stocker, District 5, has been appointed to the National
Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ (NARUC)
Committee on Gas.

In announcing the appointment, NARUC President Tricia
Pridemore said service on the committee advances the mission of
effective public regulation. NARUC is a nonprofit organization
whose members include the governmental agencies that are
engaged in the regulation of utilities and carriers nationwide.

“I’m honored to represent Nebraska on the NARUC Committee on
Gas,” Commissioner Stocker said. “Natural gas is vital in ensuring
affordable, reliable energy for our state and nation.”

Through panel discussions and educational sessions, the committee
promotes awareness and understanding of issues affecting the
transportation, distribution and sale of natural gas. Committee
members work closely with the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission and the U.S. departments of Energy and Transportation.

“I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues across the
country to share Nebraska’s perspective and help advance policies
that strengthen our energy infrastructure and serve the public
interest,” Commissioner Stocker said.
